The Ethics in Public Service Act allows certain state employees to keep gifts with an aggregate value of fifty dollars from a single source in a calendar year or a single gift from multiple sources with a value of fifty dollars.However, if you have been deemed a “Section 4” employee, this gift rule does NOT apply to you.

Some agencies have designated their entire workforce as Section 4, so check with your agency.

They include deeds, deeds of trust, certificates of satisfaction, plats and other records that document the chain of land transactions over time.

You may view and copy land records at the Clerk of the Court's office at 175 Polk Street in Montross, Monday-Friday, 9 am - 5 pm.

Please note the form must be complete in order to process your request promptly.

The Clerk shall maintain the exempt status of this information only if the officer, employee, justice, judge, other person, or employing agency of the designated employee submits a written request for maintenance of the exemption.
